My old phone finally died. Now I am trying to remember some of my passwords since those do not transfer to the new phone. It also wiped out all of my text messages.

I am very distressed over the elections. I am afraid for civil rights in the USA.

Every once in awhile I get an email about a LJ friend having a birthday. I click on their user name to see if they are still here. Today it was Spikesdeb. Seems she hasn't posted for around ten years. Always makes me sad. I miss my fandom friends from LJ. I lurk on Dreamwidth as kuda these days. rivertempest has a birthday today. She is a talented author and a great friend. She no longers posts on LJ,but on many other sites. I do miss her.

Another friend we share is in the hospital currently. edenskye had a scare last weekend. He is being tested for congested heart failure, but doing well. 🙏

Did anyone else get a message in Russian about a hashmob? I deleted the email since I had no idea what they were about. Not taking chances. The post was on my friends of friends link.

LJ is slowly dying it seems. I will really miss this site. It helped me during a dark time. I found a group of people here that brought much joy to my life.

I pray that everyone is safe. That this madness will end soon.

It seems the world is sliding backwards. Russia is invading a country. The free world is wringing their hands trying to decide what to do. At my job you can clock in five minutes before your scheduled time. It's retail so it allows you to be at your station ready to work at the time you are scheduled. Most of my younger coworkers never show up on time. They drift in, put up their belongings, talk to their friends and then go to their area around five minutes or more after their ( Read more... )

I got my booster shot scheduled for next week. Was so much easier than the first two to schedule. Took me months for the first shot. Scheduled the second shot a month later, but Mother Nature had other ideas. We had a snow/ice storm that shut everything down last Feb for an entire week. In my job we have to take drive up orders to a car outside. You place an order, let us know you are on the way, we pull it and run it out to your car. You show us a number on your phone which we type into an app. Then we hand it to you, put it into your trunk or seat. A woman rolled down her window to take the bags. Here in TX the local schools started at different times. Some the first week of August. Then others a week later. A few started on Thursday which seemed odd to me. A parent said they wanted to ease kids back for two days then have a weekend off. Very few schools have virtual learning. Our governor doesn't want face masks required.
